Here's how (johnsoncountypost.com) — Overland Park has approved a massive incentive package tied to Black & Veatch's $1.34 billion campus redevelopment, expected to generate about $40 million for city projects near the planned new city hall. Over the next two decades, special sales tax districts could fund "complete streets," road upgrades, and a new community gathering space, transforming the College Boulevard and Lamar corridor into a dense live-work hub.

Illinois basketball continues poking around Kansas with offer to elite point guard Harper Winter (writingillini.com) — An Overland Park standout guard, Harper Winter of Blue Valley North, has picked up a scholarship offer from Illinois women's basketball as a top-12 national prospect in the 2029 class. Winter, already holding major offers and ranked No. 1 in Kansas, averaged strong all-around numbers as a freshman and is emerging as one of the metro's most coveted recruits.
