• Overland Park's new development rules aim to make the city more walkable (kshb.com) — Overland Park is overhauling its development rules to require sidewalks in all new projects and make neighborhoods more walkable, with full implementation expected by spring 2027. City leaders say the Unified Development Ordinance will add trails, improve sidewalk repair staffing, and simplify zoning into new "character" districts to boost housing options and safety for pedestrians and e-scooter riders.
