Topeka businesses concerned as section of SE 29th Street closes for months-long project (ksnt.com) — Drivers in Topeka should plan around a six-month closure of SE 29th Street at Butcher Creek, which started Tuesday and stretches from just east of SE Kansas Place to Church's Chicken. Nearby businesses like Car Toyz worry about losing customers, though the city says the work will improve pavement, utilities, and safety once the wider project wraps up next summer.
