2. Topeka businesses concerned as section of SE 29th Street closes for months-long project (ksnt.com) — Drivers in Topeka should plan around a six-month closure of SE 29th Street at Butcher Creek, which started Tuesday and stretches from just east of SE Kansas Place to Church's Chicken. Nearby businesses like Car Toyz worry about losing customers, though the city says the work will improve pavement, utilities, and safety once the wider project wraps up next summer.

3. Topeka City Council hears from TPD on Flock, security camera usage (wibw.com) — Topeka's City Council has begun debating how police and county agencies use Flock-style security and license plate cameras, with no decisions made yet. 4. How much Topeka merchandise printer is making in DHS medical contracts (cjonline.com) — A Topeka-based merchandise printer, Kalos Inc. on SE 21st Street, holds two Department of Homeland Security contracts for medical-related services worth several million dollars.
