Funded through seized drug-case money and a police social worker grant, the program reinvests those dollars into local public safety and faster lifesaving care when seconds matter most. 
2. Gov. Beshear: Kentucky Included In UnitedHealthcare Rural Health Expansion, Supporting Rural Hospitals And Enhancing Care For Families (wtcoradio.com) — Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana is part of a new UnitedHealthcare pilot that speeds up payments and cuts red tape for rural hospitals, which could help keep local services strong. Gov. Andy Beshear says the program aims to offset federal Medicaid cuts by reducing prior authorizations and paying hospitals faster, potentially improving access and stability for Cynthiana families.
3. Kenneth Wayne Edgington (bourboncountycitizen.com) — A Cynthiana nursing facility is where 69-year-old Kenneth Wayne Edgington passed away on April 15. The Paris, Kentucky native was a retired factory worker, U.S. Army veteran, and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his children, grandchild, sister, and extended family, with funeral services still pending.
4. "Dearly Departed" to open soon (pmg-ky3.com) — Cynthiana’s Rohs Theatre Company is gearing up to open the dark southern comedy “Dearly Departed” on May 8, with additional performances through May 17. Local favorites and newcomers share the stage in a funny, emotional story about a family handling grief, promising plenty of relatable small-town characters and ensemble laughs for Cynthiana theatergoers.
