• George Washington and Jefferson National Forest invites community to participate in National Trails (usda.gov) — Residents near Keokee can join a National Trails Day “Tread Rehab” workday at Lake Keokee on June 6, helping repair the lake loop trail and enjoying a fee-free day on national forest sites. The Forest Service and partner groups are hosting similar volunteer trail and campsite projects across several ranger districts, providing tools, safety gear, and a chance to improve popular outdoor spots.
