• Liberty mayor calls for water conservation as lake drops 13 feet (wkyt.com) — Liberty’s mayor is urging residents to immediately cut back on water use after Liberty Lake, the main water source for both the city and Casey County, has dropped 13 feet. Officials are asking people to skip filling pools, delay watering plants, and only run full loads of laundry and dishes while they seek state help, consider buying water, and work on a long-term backup lake.
