• Nicholasville man sentenced to over 5 years in prison for distributing fentanyl, cocaine (fox56news.com) — A Nicholasville resident has been sentenced to 66 months in federal prison after investigators found large quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and other drugs, plus cash and trafficking materials, at his home. Nicholasville Police helped execute the 2025 search warrant, and upon release he’ll remain under federal supervision for four years.
   

• Pierce Tussey joins the force (pmg-ky3.com) — A recent West Jessamine High School graduate from Nicholasville has begun his law enforcement career with the Cynthiana Police Department. After academy graduation in April, Officer Pierce Tussey hit the streets in early May and says he’s already building strong relationships and is eager to serve under a five-year contract.
   

• KY 6th District GOP candidate Greg Plucinski on economy, abortion & more (kentucky.com) — Nicholasville’s own retired pharmaceutical executive Greg Plucinski is one of several Republicans vying to replace U.S. Rep. Andy Barr, and he’s the only candidate who answered detailed policy questions. He outlines hardline stances on immigration and abortion, calls for eliminating Medicare, and says his pharmaceutical background would shape his work on health care, regulation, and economic growth in Central Kentucky.
