Kansas Announces New 2026 Tour Dates (z100missoula.com) — Kansas is bringing their 2026 tour to Richmond, with a solo show set for July 18 at EKU Center for the Arts, giving local classic-rock fans a chance to see the band close to home. The full schedule also includes dates with 38 Special, Deep Purple, and Jefferson Starship across the U.S. and Canada.

EKU Honors Outstanding Instructors at Faculty Awards (eku.edu) — Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond recently celebrated its 2026 Faculty Awards, spotlighting standout instructors and a newly named teaching and learning scholarship honoring longtime professor Dr. Shirley O’Brien. The event, part of EKU’s annual Scholars Showcase, recognized faculty achievements in leadership, innovation, student success, and scholarship across multiple departments.

4. Kentucky Law Enforcement Memorial adds 10 names of officers who died in line of duty (wkyt.com) — Richmond hosted the 26th annual Kentucky Law Enforcement Memorial ceremony, where 10 fallen officers’ names were added to the monument honoring those killed in the line of duty. Families, state leaders, and law enforcement gathered to remember sacrifices dating back more than a century and to reaffirm support for survivors who continue carrying their loved ones’ legacies.

5. 2 more members of Thug Riders learn punishments for organized crime (k991fm.com) — A man identified as being from Richmond is among 14 members of the Thug Riders motorcycle club tied to a federal organized crime case centered in Ohio, where more defendants are now being sentenced. Two leaders recently received prison and probation terms, and several others have already learned their punishments as the investigation continues.
