Here are the top stories today in Baton Rouge:

  1. The Baton Rouge Chapter of the Star Mothers will honor veterans with a wreath hanging ceremony. They will put wreaths on 5,400 graves at the Baton Rouge National Cemetery. The ceremony will take place on Dec. 18 at 10:45 a.m.(BRProud.com)
  2. On Saturday, the Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade returned to downtown Baton Rouge after pandemic hiatus. There were giant neon floats, live music from local high school bands, and thousands of beads strewn on the necks of onlookers. The parade was much more family-oriented than in previous years and was done despite inclement weather. (The Advocate)
  3. On Sunday night, the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra gave a holiday performance featuring music from movies such as "The Polar Express" and "The Nutcracker." (BRProud.com)
