- Capital Area United Way honored Ascension Parish women. The Celebrate the Power of Women celebration on Dec. 2 featured LSU ambassador and former LSU gymnastics head coach D-D Breaux as the keynote speaker. There were awards presented to honor individuals from 2020 and 2021. (Weekly Citizen)
- The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra kicked off the holiday season this weekend with a concert series titled "Holiday Brass."
