Here are the top three stories today in Baton Rouge:

  1. The East Baton Rouge Library has ended its mask mandate. The library will also return to normal hours with the reopening of study and meeting rooms. Officials are reminding the community that computers, printing, copying, and faxing will be available fifteen minutes before the branch's nightly closure. (BRProud.com)
  2. The Baton Rouge Police Department is searching for the identification of an ATM burglar. The department has a photograph of the suspect who allegedly stole a large amount of money from an ATM on Feb. 12. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers or the Baton Rouge Police Department. (WAFB)
  3. A Baton Rouge woman has been arrested for attempting to cash $60,000 in checks intended for local school. According to the East Baton Rouge Sherriff's Office, the woman attempted to cash checks meant for the Kenilworth Charter School on Jan. 13, 2022. The woman has been identified as Lekiedra Coleman through security footage at local bank locations. (The Advocate)
