Baton Rouge Mayor Broome Announces MOVEBR Design Selections
These projects, totaling $100 million, will be completed in partnership with Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

BATON ROUGE, La. — November 5, 2020 — Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome announced this evening that Huval & Associates Inc. has been selected to design the Airline Highway, North Capacity Project; and Stantec Consulting Services Inc. has been selected to design the Airline Highway, South Capacity Project, two of the largest in projects in $1 billion MOVEBR Transportation Improvement Program. The selections were made by the City of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge Engineers and Surveyors Selection Board.

These projects, totaling $100 million, will be completed in partnership with Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Designs should be ready for public input by 2022. The Airline Highway projects will be completed in two phases.
Airline Highway North

The Airline Highway North phase will add another lane in each direction and provide necessary shoulder, gutter and curb upgrades from the Airline Highway from Florida Boulevard to I-110.

Airline Highway South
The Airline Highway South phase will add another lane in each direction and provide necessary shoulder, gutter and curb upgrades from the parish line to Bluebonnet Boulevard.
