Baton Rouge Metropolitan Council To Meet On Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021

BATON ROUGE, La. — Friday, December 31, 2020 — On Saturday, January 2, 2021, members of the East Baton Rouge Parish Metropolitan Council will be sworn into office in the Metropolitan Council Chamber, at 11:00 a.m. Due do COVID-19, the ceremony will be open only to family of the members, officials administering the oath of office, and members of the media, but will be carried live on Metro 21, Cox Cable Channel 21, AT&T U-verse channel 99, and streamed live on www.brla.gov and The City of Baton Rouge Facebook page. The River Center Branch Library, located at 250 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70802, 4th Floor meeting room will be open to the public to view the broadcast as it airs live.

The Metropolitan Council will hold a special meeting immediately following the Inaugural Ceremony to elect the President Pro Tempore for the 2021-2024 term.
