  1. The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) introduced the PimsPoints app to engage parents in education. The app is part of an initiative the LDOE calls "BE ENGAGED," which aims to encourage parents, families, and communities to collaborate and help transform student outcomes. (westcentralsbest.com)
  2. Yesterday the Louisiana Parole Project's executive director, Andrew Hundley, spoke at the Baton Rouge Press Club to discuss the organization’s work on behalf of persons who have served extreme sentences and the newest initiative, the "Forgotten Men Project.” The Press Club of Baton Rouge says that “The nonprofit organization has helped more than 200 men and women who spent decades in prison rebuild their lives.” (BRProud.com)
