- A Baton Rouge haunted carwash raised more than $26k for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. The carwash took place at Benny's carwash on Oct. 29-30, and it was the first time in 15 years that it was held for charitable purposes. (WGNO New Orleans)
- A man who forced teen girls to engage in sex with strangers for money was booked on a trafficking count. Kevontae Reed was implicated by three victims after they were found in a hotel in Baton Rouge. This was not his first prostitution-related count. (The Advocate)
- The Louisiana Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) will launch an open house at SULC on Nov. 17. (BRProud.com)
