  1. Baton Rouge Mardi Gras is still on despite omicron concerns. Mardi Gras is a time when locals host friends and family from out of town, and the city is going to continue promoting it as if it's going to occur. (Greater Baton Rouge Business Report)
  2. $100 will be offered for the first pediatric vaccine. The Louisiana Department of Health is giving out $100 gift cards to children who receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the pediatric clinic on Jan. 8. The clinic will be held at Elm Grove Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (WAFB)
  3. A Baton Rouge woman has been charged with stabbing a 19-year-old. Ronica Green was arrested the same day police began the investigation. The victim is expected to survive her injuries. (WBRZ)
