  1. A Baton Rouge fire investigator shot a man trying to break into his car in a neighborhood off of Government Street. The man was shot during the confrontation and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The BRFD employee was placed on administrative leave. (WBRZ)
  2. A Statewide Litter Task Force will kick off at the LSU Burden Museum on Tuesday afternoon. Governor John Bel Edwards, Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, and Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome will be presenting. (WGNO New Orleans)
  3. Families are invited to plant trees at the LSU Ag Center Botanical Gardens on Jan. 22 for Arbor Day. Families have the opportunity to help reforest Burden Woods by Native planting trees.
