Here are the top stories in Baton Rouge today:
- The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after a fatal shooting Wednesday, according to a spokesman with the department. Police say Cedric Williams, 44, was shot multiple times in the 4000 block of West Brookstown Dr., near Prescott Rd. and Evangeline St. around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 28. Williams was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. A motive and suspect are unknown at this time. (WAFB)
- The Baton Rouge Police Department is asking for public’s help identifying person who allegedly used stolen credit card. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the person in the photos on their website is accused of stealing a credit card and purchasing $4500.00 worth of computer equipment from a local business. Any information should be reported to the BRPD. (BRProud.com)
- A sixth grade student was charged after bringing loaded gun on campus at Woodlawn Middle School by the East Baton Rouge School Drug Task Force. (BRProud.com)
