East Baton Rouge Parish School System Announces Coronavirus Guidelines For 2021-2022 School Year
Additionally, EBRPSS will begin to offer free, periodic COVID-19 testing to staff and students, with parental consent.

In an effort to safely reopen schools for students and staff, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System is announcing additional guidance and safety measures for the 2021- 2022 school year. The guidance was created based upon the recommendations of the Health Advisory Committee, comprising of the state’s leading health experts in epidemiology, infectious disease and public health.

Much of the guidance from the 2020-2021 school year will remain in place, with the addition of some heightened mitigation and prevention methods. All students in kindergarten to12th grade will be required to wear a mask in the school setting, and all children and staff will be required to wear masks when traveling on school busses. Additionally, EBRPSS will begin to offer free, periodic COVID-19 testing to staff and students, with parental consent.
