  1. Leaders against solitary confinement held a vigil at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. The Louisiana Stop Solitary Coalition believes solitary confinement is a human rights violation. They held the vigil yesterday evening and ended the night in prayer by faith and community leaders. (BR Proud)
  2. Lawmakers rejected the coronavirus vaccine mandate for Louisiana students. The House Health and Welfare Committee voted 13-2 against Gov. John Bel Edwards’ vaccine mandate. Edwards has the power to overrule the vote, which he indicated he would do. (KATC)
  3. Some college students were injured after attempting to cross a closed bridge to Tigerland this past weekend between Alvin Dark Avenue and Nicholson Drive. (WAFB)
  4. PetWellClinic, an innovative wellness clinic for Lousiana pet owners, signed an eight-unit deal in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. (PR Newswire)
  5. High water from rainfall on Monday afternoon closed parts of I-110 in Baton Rouge, however, they are currently cleared and accessible. (WAFB)
