From the East Baton Rouge Parish Library: Do you know a legend about your neighborhood? The Center for Louisiana Studies is partnering with the William C. Pomeroy Foundation to mark local legends and lore and preserve the mythic history of the United States. Any legend or piece of local lore that is believed to be true, but cannot be historically verified, is eligible for inclusion in this new preservation program.
