- Local art and science museum opened an exhibit focused on Louisiana art. The exhibit, called "Our Louisiana" features work from LA artists from the 19th Century through today. It will be open to the public on Saturday, Jan. 15. (BRProud.com)
- A Netflix documentary star is traveling to Baton Rouge to tailor his wardrobe. Jorge Valdés was featured in Netflix's "Cocaine Cowboys: The Kings of Miami" documentary where he shared his story of being imprisoned for 10 years and becoming a changed man. Along with his story, his clothing sparked conversations amongst viewers, prompting him to share about his tailor on Instagram. (225 Baton Rouge)
- Baton Rouge community activist Gary Chambers launched a campaign for U.S. Senate. He claimed it's time for a change in LA from someone who gets the challenges the people are facing on a daily basis. He noted that, if elected, he will prioritize economic aid, voting rights, and Medicare. (WAFB)
