- LSU Engineering and Education faculty were awarded a six-year, nearly $1.5 million National Science Foundation grant to provide opportunities for low-income, high-achieving students. The initiative will fund 45 scholarships to full-time students who are pursuing bachelor's degrees in a variety of engineering majors. (BRProud.com)
- A petition, titled “NO MORE ROOFTOPS until we have better infrastructure,” covers many concerns of some West Baton Rouge residents. There is potential for new housing development in West Baton Rouge Parish, which would bring about 3oo new houses.
