Here are the top stories in Baton Rouge today:
- An LSU program was awarded $5.4M to study extreme weather impacts. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration awarded the money to the Southern Climate Impact Planning Program, the school announced on Wednesday. It will be used to fund new projects studying migration patterns from LA due to hurricanes and flooding. (Greater Baton Rouge Business Report)
- Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre will be returning to the stage after two years for a holiday production of "The Nutcracker." The show will be at the River Center Ballroom, and the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra will be joining them. (BRProud.com)
- Police suspect that a Baton Rouge woman fatally poisoned both her husband and her live-in boyfriend between 2015 and 2016. She will stand trial on June 27. (The Advocate)
