🌱 LSU Students React To Raccoon + Baton Rouge House Fire

1. According to The Advocate, superintendent Sito Narcisse has lowered the number of required advanced placement (AP) courses required for ninth-graders in Baton Rouge Public High Schools. Originally, Narcisse had planned to favor dual enrollment over AP courses, but parents had voiced concerns that many colleges favor AP courses. Students will still have the option to do both. (The Advocate)
2. Officials say that a Baton Rouge home caught on fire on Saturday night. The fire allegedly began after a “combustible” was thrown into a trash can, causing the trash to go on fire. There is reported damage to the rear of the home. (WBRZ)
3. Diners at Louisiana State University had an unexpected dinner guest this weekend. A raccoon fell through the ceiling and proceeded to run through the dining hall. The raccoon was eventually captured. (Daily Comet)
