- An LSU study suggests shark attacks are linked to lunar phases. The study, 'Shark Side of the Moon,' examined 50 years of data on shark attacks and found that there were more shark attacks during the time of more than 50% lunar illumination. Lunar illumination refers to the percent of the moon's surface that's illuminated. (WJTV)
- Louisiana Public Broadcasting created a Tik-Tok dance to help save Mardi Gras. Their original song and dance capture the spirit of the season and encourage people to get vaccinated and boosted. To participate, TikTok users can duet or stitch the original video and dance along using the hashtags #SaveMardiGras2022, #GetVaxxed, and #LPB. (BRProud.com)
- Two men were arrested in connection with at least 15 vehicle burglaries across East Baton Rouge Parish. 19-year-old Bobby Duncan and 18-year-old Daniel Buffington were arrested and booked on multiple counts of burglary. Duncan was arrested for attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of weapons in 2020, according to Parish records. (WBRZ)
