Here are the top stories today in Baton Rouge:

  1. Louisiana State University announced the rankings on the 2021 LSU 100 and LSU ROARING 10. The LSU 100 recognizes the 100 fastest growing LSU graduate-owned or LSU graduate-led businesses in the world, while the LSU 10 recognizes the ten highest revenue-generating businesses from those who apply for the LSU 100. Global Data Vault and Horizon Financial Group have made the LSU 100 list all eleven years. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Students protested LSU's response to the accused sexual predator from France. They spoke up about the lack of safety on campus, and they pointed out that LSU knew of Edouard d'Espalunge D'Arros' arrest in 2018, yet still allowed him on campus where he was preying on young women and charged with third-degree rape. Faculty members also took the time to speak up in solidarity with the young women. (The Advocate)
  3. Neighbors are fed up with illegal parking on Burbank Drive due to The Oasis bar's special events filling up their parking lot and forcing people to park on the street. (WAFB)
  4. The pastor of Life Tabernacle Church in Baton Rouge received a new court date after refusing to wear a mask inside the courthouse on Tuesday morning. (BRProud.com)
  5. A woman was shot to death by a man who lived with her in her La Annie Drive apartment because he thought she was a burglar, according to Baton Rouge police. (The Advocate)
