Here are the top three stories in Baton Rouge today:
- A 74-year-old man died after being shot inside his Baton Rouge home Tuesday night. Police believe the shots that injured the man were fired from outside the home. The case is still under investigation. (WAFB)
- The West Baton Rouge Museum will host a 1940s style USO Dance featuring sets performed by the Victory Belles. The dance will be on Jan. 23 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and it is free and open to the public. (Post South)
- A 40 million-year-old fossil shark was named in honor of LSU collection manager Suyin Ting. She has contributed five books and 41 peer-reviewed journal articles to her field, a highly notable contribution. (thewestsidejournal.com)

- The Louisiana Children's Museum will have its Literary Specialist lead read alouds on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. They will read some of their favorite children’s classics and a variety of new delightful tales in different book nooks around the Museum. (Instagram)
