Here are the top three stories in Baton Rouge today:
- A non-profit paid off the mortgage on the home of a U.S. Marshal who was killed in Baton Rouge. Josie Wells was killed in the line of duty at a motel in BR in March of 2015 while trying to arrest a convicted felon wanted for a double homicide. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation shared the news of the mortgage payment on New Year's Eve. (BRProud.com)
- A man died after a truck fell from an interstate overpass in Baton Rouge. A Chevrolet Colorado crashed into the guardrail on I-10 after the driver lost control, then the truck went airborne and landed on its roof. The passenger died on the scene and the driver was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. (WAFB)
- LSU campus vaccine locations will reopen Tuesday. Free COVID-19 vaccines will be available to anyone over the age of 12. Appointments can be scheduled online. (BRProud.com)
