Here are the top stories in Baton Rouge today:

  1. A photo book detailing the history of Plaquemine by Meghan C. Sylvester and Burke Devillier was released. The book, "Images of America: Plaquemine," features 100 pages of photos. The proceeds from the book will go to the Iberville Parish Museum. (Post South)
  2. Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) will host a technical education job fair on Saturday, Nov. 13. The fair will be held at the Ardendale Campus from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. BRCC is seeking adjunct instructors in fields such as auto body, carpentry, culinary, drafting, horticulture, welding, and more.   3. St. James Episcopal Church will serve hot meals, prayer, and more on Nov. 14 to those in need. (BRProud.com)
  4. Thousands are without power after a major outage in downtown Baton Rouge, though the cause is unknown. (WBRZ)
