  1. On Wednesday afternoon, a shooting broke out at the RaceTrac gas station on Essen Lane. According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 3:15 p.m. when a man was shot in the leg. The shooter fled on foot but has been captured and is in custody. At this time, it is unclear what led to the shooting. (WAFB)

After four years away from the Raising Cane's River Center Performing Arts Theater, the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra will open its 2022 Orchestral Series with the concert, "Julien Kuerti conducts Dvorak," today, Mar. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The symphony's last performance at the River Center was in April 2018.
