Here are the top three stories today in Baton Rouge:

  1. ‘Seussical the Musical’ is back at Theatre Baton Rouge on Feb. 3. This will be their first Young Actors Program musical since the start of the pandemic. Tickets are $25 for students and $30 for adults. (BRProud.com)
  2. A BR fourth-grader was suspended for refusing to wear a mask in the classroom. The boy's father agrees with his son's decision and thinks it is "buffoonish" to have students wearing masks inside when there are thousands of people gathering unmasked for basketball games. (WAFB)
  3. An assisted living center is prioritizing mental health during the Omicron surge. According to the National Council on Aging, social isolation has increased loneliness for the elderly population. Magnolia Brook is looking to give their seniors a purpose to what they do in the center every day. (BRProud.com)
