- Children can see Santa, get vaccinated, and receive a $100 debit card in Baton Rouge on Dec. 11 at The Green. The 'Shots for Santa' event allows children and adults to get vaccinated, enjoy face painting and other fun activities. (BRProud.com)
- A 'potentially hazardous' chemical spill prompted an evacuation at the LSU Life Sciences Building, BRFD said. The liquid was determined to be about a gallon of acetone that had mostly evaporated by the time the emergency crew arrived. BRFD spokesman, Justin Hill, claimed there were no immediate safety threats. (The Advocate)
