- The Southern University Law Center (SULC) won the Inaugural Battle of the Louisiana Law Schools Intra-State Mock Trial Competition. The competition was held at the 19th Judicial District Court in Baton Rouge on Oct. 30. Student, Melody Dougal, won the best oral advocate award. (BRProud.com)
- LSU was selected to apply for cybersecurity operations designation this year. According to an LSU computer science teacher, "being designated has many potential benefits," like opening up the school to potential research money. (Greater Baton Rouge Business Report)
- Kingston Point Apartments was sold to Patriot Services Group, which creates affordable housing for vets, and it is expanding options in the Baton Rouge area. (Greater Baton Rouge Business Report)
