Here are the top three stories in Baton Rouge today:
- A 10-month-old and a 15-year-old were shot on N. Sherwood Forest Drive over the weekend. Baton Rouge Police reported to the 1700 block of N. Sherwood Forest Drive on Sunday afternoon to a call of shots fired. While police have confirmed the children are stable at this time, there are no additional details and the investigation will be ongoing. (The Advocate)
- The Baton Rouge International School will soon be closing its doors after 22 years. The school stated the COVID-19 pandemic caused a major drop in enrollment from which it never recovered. The last day of classes will be May 26. The school offered a full multilingual immersion program in English, Spanish, French, and Chinese and was involved in a global network of 50 schools known as the International Schools Partnership. - Crunch Fitness is set to soon open a Baton Rouge location with a broad array of classes and services! The new location will be at 9618 Airline Highway with the official opening date scheduled for Thursday, Apr. 28. The company has hundreds of other locations across the United States and other countries. In Baton Rouge, Crunch Fitness will offer various instructor-led classes such as high-intensity interval training (HIIT), dance, spin, sports, toning, and restorative moves. (The Advocate)
