• Church Point Man arrested after months-long car parts theft probe (klfy.com) — A Church Point man has been arrested after Acadia Parish deputies investigated repeated thefts of catalytic converters from a local salvage yard. Investigators say the stolen parts were traced to a third-party buyer before the 37-year-old Church Point resident was identified and booked on multiple theft and unauthorized entry charges, with bond still pending.
