• A deputy's home was struck by gunfire during homecoming pranks (klfy.com) — Local law enforcement is warning Eunice students and parents after homecoming pranks escalated into gunfire that struck a deputy's home in nearby Opelousas, where a 1-year-old was inside but unharmed. Sheriff Bobby Guidroz is urging families to talk with teens about the severe legal and safety consequences of turning celebrations into dangerous stunts involving weapons.
