• Metairie Upskirting Arrest: Justin Simmons Booked (hoodline.com) — A man accused of secretly filming under a woman’s clothing at Lakeside Shopping Center in Metairie is now being held at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna. Investigators say he faces a video voyeurism count, remain open to additional charges if more victims come forward, and note that Louisiana law requires sex-offender registration upon conviction.

• GOP state rep apologizes to Louisiana AG Liz Murrill after accusing her of ‘coercion' (nola.com) — A state lawmaker from Gretna, Rep. Vincent Cox, was among nine Republicans who switched their votes to help advance House Bill 310, which changes how criminal cases are reassigned when defendants waive jury trials. The shift came as another GOP representative publicly apologized to Attorney General Liz Murrill for accusing her of coercing support for the bill and invoking Nazi Germany in his criticism.
