Jefferson Parish Schools launches new board information platform (neworleanscitybusiness.com) — Jefferson Parish Schools is rolling out a new Diligent Community platform on Aug. 21, giving families and residents easier online access to School Board agendas, minutes, policies, and past meeting materials. The system will replace BoardDocs, offer email notifications for upcoming meetings, and improve search tools so Jefferson Parish community members can more easily follow district decisions affecting local schools.

LaPlace man arrested after shooting outside Elmwood Shopping Center, JPSO says (wwltv.com) — A man is jailed in Jefferson Parish after deputies say an argument outside Elmwood Shopping Center escalated into a Wednesday evening shooting on South Clearview Parkway. The victim was shot in the abdomen but is expected to survive, while the suspect faces attempted second-degree murder and burglary charges with high bonds at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center.
