LaPlace man arrested after shooting outside Elmwood Shopping Center, JPSO says (wwltv.com) — A man is jailed in Jefferson Parish after deputies say an argument outside Elmwood Shopping Center escalated into a Wednesday evening shooting on South Clearview Parkway. The victim was shot in the abdomen but is expected to survive, while the suspect faces attempted second-degree murder and burglary charges with high bonds at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center.
