JPSO releases shooter in suspected road rage incident at busy Metairie intersection (nola.com) — A woman was shot and critically injured during rush hour at Clearview Parkway and Airline Drive in Metairie, though her condition has since been upgraded to stable. Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office investigators say the shooting, believed tied to a possible road rage incident, appears justifiable, and the female shooter has been questioned and released while the investigation continues.
   

2. New playgrounds coming to Kenner and Harahan aim to make fun accessible (nola.com) — Families in Metairie, Kenner, and Harahan will soon have more inclusive playground options, complementing the existing Tripp's Treehouse in Lafreniere Park. Jefferson Parish and local partners are investing millions in new accessible play spaces in Kenner's Laketown and Harahan's Park of Heroes, aiming to welcome children of all abilities and reflect the parish's connection to its waterways and outdoor recreation.
   

3. Iconic New Orleans artist Bunny Matthews' wit, humor and controversy chronicled in new biography (nola.com) — New Orleans cartoonist Bunny Matthews, who spent part of his childhood in Metairie and attended Airline Park Elementary, is the subject of a richly illustrated new biography. The book traces his early Metairie years, rise as creator of Vic and Nat'ly, and complicated later life, while a related Historic New Orleans Collection exhibit and "Bunny Day" events will celebrate his enduring cultural impact.
   

4. New Iberia minister arrested in undercover operation targeting child predators: Attorney General (thedailyiberian.com) — State investigators' recent undercover sting targeting online child predators led to 10 arrests statewide, including a 32-year-old Metairie resident facing indecent behavior and computer-aided solicitation charges plus a stolen firearm count. The three‑day operation, run with parish sheriffs, focused on adults using the internet to lure people they believed were minors, and officials say similar efforts will continue.
