4. MCHS, Patterson students work to restore coast (stmarynow.com) — Morgan City High School 4-H Coastal Cubs recently joined Patterson students at Burns Point Park to plant 5,000 smooth cordgrass plugs, helping restore nearby coastal wetlands. Their work helped earn Morgan City and Patterson high schools NOAA Ocean Guardian School status, one of only three in Louisiana and the only program centered on habitat restoration.
