Upcoming days could be a different matter ... Houston airports, meanwhile, still are closed.
NEW ORLEANS, LA – No massive "Harvey" storm-related cancellations were reported as of this afternoon at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, which serves the New Orleans and Gulf Coast Region.
However, officials advised those traveling in coming days to check with airlines before heading to the airport as delays or cancellations are possible depending on the impact of Tropical Storm Harvey.
It's a different story, meanwhile, at Houston airports.

"No inbound or outbound flights from either airport at this time," operators said this afternoon. "For flight details, rescheduling and waivers, please contact your air carrier."
And woes may linger: "Over the next few days, severe weather caused by Hurricane Harvey may impact flights at IAH and HOU. The Houston Airports advises passengers to stay in touch with their air carriers for the most accurate information regarding specific flight status," the agency said today.
