🌱 Friday Night Shootings + April 30th Parish Elections

First, today's weather:

Here are the top stories today in New Orleans:

  1. Early voting for the upcoming April 30th parish elections began Satureday and runs until April 23rd. Amoung other issues, taxes that benefit child care, property and the DA's office will be on the ballot this year. (NOLA.com)
  2. NOPD is investigating after a pair of shootings that took place in New Orleans East on Friday night left three wounded. Police responded to the first shooting at I-10 West at Crowder just after 9 pm where they found two victims, a man and woman, suffering from a gunshot wound. The second shooting transpired at Basinview Drive and left a single victim who suffered a single gunshot wound. All three were taken to the hospital for treatment and their investigations are ongoing. (WWLTV.com)
  3. The almost-victim of a carjacking fought back on Thursday when two suspects attempted to steal his car. The vehicle owner shot and injured one of the teenagers who tried to steal his truck. (WWLTV.com)
