Here are the top three stories in New Orleans today:
- Over 4,000 street lights are out citywide with New Orleans East facing the most outages. New Orleans East residents have a list of complaints that go back to January 2021, which means many streetlights haven't been fixed in over a year. (FOX 8 Local First)
- A man in Jefferson Parish was convicted of shipping 50-plus pounds of marijuana from California to his home to distribute it. His arrest occurred as a result of a couple accidentally receiving 7 pounds of marijuana and calling to report it. (NOLA.com)
- A New Orleans man who was arrested last year for striking and biting a pregnant victim has pleaded guilty to multiple charges on Monday. He was sentenced to 16 years in prison. (BRProud.com)
