🌱 Woman Robbed By Online Date + Central City Shooting

First, today's weather:

Humid; an afternoon t-storm. High: 84 Low: 71.


Here are the top stories in New Orleans today:

  1. NOPD is investigating after a Central City shooting left one wounded. Police received a call around 3:30 Saturday morning of an aggravated battery by shooting at the 2200 block of Toledano St. Officers arriving on the scene found one man who was suffering from gunshot wounds and transported him to the hospital via EMS. There has yet to be an update on his condition. (WWLTV.com)
  2. On Friday, a woman was robbed at gunpoint by a man whom she'd made plans to meet up with after meeting Online. The man, Bryan Sanford, a three-time convicted felon, temporarily kidnapped the victim and forced her to drive him to a location, and left with her belongings which included, a purse, cellphone, and gun. NOPD is looking for help locating Sanford. (FOX 8 Local First)
  3. The dates for the special election to fill the Senate vacancy seat left by Karen Carter Peterson have been set for November. Qualifying elections will take place July 20th-22nd which means the primary election will coincide with the congressional elections. (U.S. News & World Report)
