• Peaks Island author and illustrator finds inspiration in an astronaut's journey (pressherald.com) — Caribou's famously dark night skies and hometown astronaut Jessica Meir are at the heart of a new children's book by Maine author-illustrator Jamie Hogan. Hogan describes researching Meir's life in Caribou's library archives and drawing on the town's stargazing appeal to inspire kids with stories of space exploration, science, and curiosity about the natural world.
