• Transport of massive equipment through Maine will take longer than expected (wmtw.com) — A gigantic generator is being hauled from the former Pixelle/International Paper mill in Jay to South Portland, and the trip is taking longer than first planned. The 219-foot, 683,000-pound load will crawl through multiple towns over several nights, bringing road closures and long delays. Jay residents should expect ongoing heavy-haul activity tied to eight more similar moves from the mill site.
