• Kittery water shortage expected to worsen as winter approaches (pressherald.com) — Kittery residents are entering an eighth week of strict water restrictions, and officials warn the shortage could worsen through winter as local ponds remain unusually low. With the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard already using more than half the district's supply and planning increased demand, the town may face longer, tighter limits unless new conservation steps ease the strain.
