• CMP: This Maine summer was second hottest on record—that's why it needs to increase rates, fortify grid (newscentermaine.com) — Ogunquit residents were among 3,400 who lost power July 3 when CMP proactively shut off electricity to protect an overloaded substation, then brought in a mobile unit to stabilize the grid. Now the utility is asking state regulators to approve a rate hike that would add about $18 a month to the average bill, arguing hotter summers demand stronger infrastructure. 
• At Ogunquit Playhouse, this performer is singing and dancing—and there's a reason why that's remarkable (newscentermaine.com) — Ogunquit theater fans can catch Stephanie Gibson starring in "The Producers" at Ogunquit Playhouse, just months after she gave birth and jumped back into a demanding song-and-dance role. Fellow cast member Dan DeLuca is returning for his fourth Ogunquit production, performing alongside veterans from the original Broadway show.
